Where was I in the last 10 years of MY life?

Yesterday, I was given an opportunity to serve by being a Cashflow 101 moderator. Each moderator experience is unique from the last one because of the chemistry of the players that I handle and their diverse backgrounds. This question was one of my major "realizations" yesterday.

See, the Cashflow 101 game gives a preview of your life for the next 5, 10, 15 years because of the events that happen within the game. Opportunities come and go, you start a family, you receive a regular paycheck, you get downsized, you work yet the dream remains to be elusive.

In our sharing of insights after the game, one 22-year old player displayed his disbelief that some people end up being Type 3 (see blog Are you a Type 5). He said, "Why would people want to be there? What I got from this game is that we can get out of the ratrace by avoiding loans so we can work on having more passive income than our expenses." And all of us "adults" said, "we didn't knew that back then." :)

Yes, it all starts with seeing how the ratrace looks like and describing your situation thru the game. But who takes time to educate themselves and comnfront what awaits at the start of their career climb- during the height of their corporate dreams when the best thing to do with their salary was to "reward" themselves with parties and nice things?

And before we know it, we are stuck.

I invite you to reflect on this question and see not where life has taken you but where YOU have taken your life. It is your choices that brought you to your present situation and you know what? You can still do something to alter your course.
