On Marriage and Business

I was really excited when I found out that one of the Core Team members recently got engaged to her boyfriend. This news lead to an insightful conversation with another Coach on marriage and being in business. In that short conversation, I realized that a successful marriage shares some parallel principles with that of a thriving business.

Marriage is a commitment. It's a life-long journey with another person.
Since I am committed to making it work, all my actions are in line with that.

I learned that in business, it's enough to just say your commitment. Results follow after you have taken small, consistent steps in line with what you are committed to.

* Being married requires both of us to grow together and as individuals.
In anything, not just in business, "If you are not growing, you are dying."

I learned that it is my responsibility to grow and improve on myself everyday because this is the only way that I contribute to others.

It's not always a bed of roses. Struggles and difficulties are inevitable in relationships but people still get married.It's not because we like to get hurt or to go through the hard times but because we know that these struggles make us stronger people.

* The people that you surround yourself with are important to the success of the marriage. I'm happy to be surrounded with people who are genuinely caring and supportive.
Here in CA, the Core Team members are really supportive and will take the journey with you to success.

* Marriage requires financial responsibility.
Love will not keep us alive, literally that is.
Resource management is a key ingredient in a peaceful marriage and a sound business.

Communication, Trust and Respect
Need I say more?
On the occasion of CA's second anniversary, I want to express my deepest gratitude to everyone in the Core Team who contributed to who I am now as an individual, as a partner and as a team player. Without these people, I'd probably still be inside my shell, relishing my moments in the popular "comfort zone." Thank you for the love and generosity.

Happy 2nd anniversary Create Abundance!
