Before I Became a Coach...

Allow me to share my comment to the latest discussion posted by Coach Rovel entitled "Coach I want you to be my mentor."

Sixth, Totally Swallow your pride, We do not respect Degrees, Title, Age and Lineage, you will hear harsh words from us like and a lot of word slashing. Many of my mentees quit because they simply cannot swallow their pride.

Before I became one of the Coaches in the Core Team, I had the entitlement mindset.
I thought that since I graduated in a good school with honors, had leadership positions in college and was doing well in the rat race, I am entitled to be treated as a mentor as well. That whatever accomplishments I had in the past will make me succeed in any business.

Reality check.
Being a space for success and learning means starting from scratch, like a child learning to walk. The coaches in the Community have been my guide all these months. Being an apprentice is never equal to comfort. Being a Coach is a title to be earned. It means experiencing all the uncomfortability to ensure that you give the same level of mentoring to your apprentices later on.

Now, I consider myself as a beginner. Blaming, justifying and complaining will just waste time. Nobody becomes rich being a victim. Everyday, I see situations as opportunities to learn, grow and take new action. If I am harsh on my coachees, it is because I want them to experience the level of breakdowns that result to massive breakthroughs. Because of these realizations, I have become a space for the success of my mentees. I selflessly give my time to others because my mission is bigger than my ego. I create millionaires and winning it is the only option.
