Being Grateful

Some people are thankful for being in a happy phase in their lives right now. For me, I am happy because I choose to find something to be grateful for everyday. The Core Team members have this habit of maintaining a gratitude album and sharing it with our close friends. We call it #365gratefulness. For those who keep a gratitude journal, I'm sure you already know the benefits. For those who don't, START ONE NOW! It doesn't have to be extravagant. You may use your 2013 planner to write down what you're grateful for during that day or like me, through photos in your Facebook or Instagram account.

Going back to its benefits, I highly suggest having a gratitude journal this year for the following reasons:
1. It creates a space for joy. Just thinking of what great thing happened that day puts a big smile on my face.

2. You focus your energy on the positive.
Any activity that we choose to do requires energy on our part. I'd rather spend it on something that uplifts me than something that brings me down.

3. Law of Attraction
What we focus on expands. Focusing on great things allows it to multiply and show up more often in our lives.

4. You become a breath of fresh air to your friends.
Who wants to be with those who always complain? Not me. Being grateful gives you this light aura that your friends would truly appreciate amidst the stress that they're experiencing. Plus, happy people look more radiant so that's ganda/pogi points for you!

And the list goes on!

For such a simple activity, the benefits are endless. So, instead of coming up with conversation pieces as to why your day sucked, take on a new habit this year and be grateful. It won't make the problems go away, you'll just see your problems in a different light & probably realize that some of them weren't problems in the first place.

Cheers to a grateful you this 2013!
